Realme 12x Highlights
Tuesday, April 2 was the launch date for the Realme 12X 5G in India. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery with SuperVOOC fast charging capabilities and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC. Along with features like the Dynamic Button, Air Gestures, and Mini Capsule 2.0, it has a dual back camera system. The phone comes in two colorways and three RAM configurations, and it will go on sale in the county later this month. Remarkably, the phone was first introduced in March of this year in China.
The 6.72-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) IPS LCD screen on the Realme 12X 5G has a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness level of 950 nits. It is equipped with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Realme UI 5.0, based on Android 14, comes preinstalled on the phone.
With regard to optics, the Realme 12X 5G has two rear cameras: a 2-megapixel macro and a 50-megapixel main sensor. The 8-megapixel sensor of the front camera is housed within a hole-punch slot that is centered at the top of the display.
A Dynamic Button, which was most recently seen in the Realme 12 5G model, is included in the Realme 12X 5G. This functionality can be used as a shortcut button to control many functions, such as flashlight, camera shutter, and airplane and DND modes. The phone is also compatible with the Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G’s Air Gestures function, which allows users to interact without touching the screen. Additionally, it has a Mini Capsule 2.0 feature that uses an animation to indicate users’ calls, charging status, and other critical warnings surrounding the hole-punch cutout on the display.
The Realme 12X 5G boasts a 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W wired SuperVOOC charging, courtesy of Realme. The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, two stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio connector. Additionally, it has USB Type-C, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual 5G, and Wi-Fi connection. In addition, the phone has an IP54 dust and splash resistant rating. It is 165.6 x 76.1 x 7.69 mm in dimension and weighs 188g.
