Rating

Symphony i95 is an interesting and very competitive release for consumers with a maximum 8,000 Tk. budget. Let us explain why in this short review.

Most users in this price range are highly concerned about the battery performance. Symphony i95 is coming with a 3000 mAh battery with decent backup which should not disappoint you if you use your phone with good care. It means to charge your phone only if it gets under 15% and remove the charge quickly after 100%. Also, never use your phone while it is charging. Moreover, try not to pressure the phone too much by using graphics-intensive apps for long-time without taking breaks in between. It may cause overheating, reduce your battery life and damage its performance. If you want even bigger battery, check out Walton Primo GM3+ with 4000 mAh battery for 8,499 Tk. (as of January 2019). But the display of Primo GM3+ is lower quality FWVGA.

Performance is decent with 2 GB RAM, Mali T-820 GPU and 1.4 GHz quad-core CPU. We couldn’t find any official info about its chipset. But it seems like they have used the Spreadtrum SC9832E chipset which uses the same CPU and GPU. It should be smooth enough to perform daily tasks and high-graphics apps should run just fine with low settings. Don’t expect over the top performance but you will hardly get any better for the price.

Design and display of Symphony i95 gets our complement. Full-View curvey design looks up to date for 2019. In the pictures, it also looks like that they have used a glass back. But we are not 100% sure if it is glass or plastic as we didn’t find any official information about it. HD+ quality with IPS technology is also quite generous from Symphony in this price range. Video playback, internet browsing or app using will be much more pleasant than a lower quality qHD or FWVGA display. So, a big thumbs up from us for design and display.

13 MP primary autofocus camera and 8 MP front camera are pretty satisfactory for the price. Daylight shots should have good color reproduction and decent details. Front camera doesn’t have an LED flash for better low-light shots which is a downside, but the back camera is coming with a flash.

The phone is also coming with OTG, 16 GB internal storage, dual SIM option FM radio through an online app, front LED notification light etc. Overall, a pretty suitable choice for the cost.
