Realme 2 Pro is the first official mid-range release from the brand Realme in Bangladesh. It has a 4 GB, a 6 GB and an 8 GB version. We have got only the 8 GB version in BD. The pricing is more on the high-mid range side. A strong competitor of it is the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 which is price a little lower than this.
If the design is important to you, the waterdrop notch display is among the most preferred in the current market. It is minimal, practical and stylish at the same time. We have also got the light sensor in the front near the camera. However, the body is made of plastic which is a big downside for a phone of this cost. There is a third generation gorilla glass in the display though. The display quality is Full HD+. 6.3″ display may feel a bit big for one hand operation to many. On the other hand, the viewing experience is expanded which is a good thing. Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has a plastic body too with a regular full-view display (no notch). But the color contrast and depth is way better than Realme 2 Pro.
The performance with 8 GB RAM and Snapdragon 660 chipset is overall pretty smooth. We haven’t seen any lag while intensive multitasking or executing graphics related tasks. However, Xiaomi Pocophone F1 has a premium Snapdragon 845 chipset with 6 GB RAM. The app response and opening time are faster in Poco F1. Also, the GPU is of higher quality and the liquid cooling feature keeps the phone cool even after long usage without any brake. Poco F1 is the clear choice regarding performance.
The camera of Realme 2 Pro is among its advantages. In fact, the shots are mostly better than Poco F1 with finer saturation, color combination and clarity. If you consider the camera over performance, Realme 2 Pro is the phone to go for. You may also consider OnePlus 5T which is priced slightly higher but with an excellent combination of optic AMOLED display, camera and performance with a metal body.
Realme 2 Pro comes with a fingerprint sensor, face unlock, 128 GB internal storage, dedicated microSD slot etc. features. It has a 1-day power user battery with 10W fast charging. There is no USB Type-C which is a little unexpected considering its price and release date.
