Xiaomi Redmi 7A Highlights
Xiaomi Redmi 6 and 6A were quite successful as low-budget choices. Now, Xiaomi Redmi 7A is coming with some additional features, a few upgrades and fine adjustments. We still have the more traditional Full-View design. Some may wish for a notch and on top of that there is no notification light. However, there is similar to the always-on displa function so, no Notification LED is tolerable. The design looks like a combination of simplicity and modern minimalism. Xiaomi made the best out of a low-budget phone and we got to give it to them. The body is made of plastic and there is no protection which is pretty excepted for the price. But Xiaomi gets a big thumbs up for the P2i nanocoating splash resistance. The device can tolerate minor splashes and moisture. Overall, it also feels pretty solid and robust.
The 5.45 inches screen is quite small considering the current standard. However, it provides that compact and lightweight feeling and gives a good grip. A perfect choice for everyday casual users. HD+ quality is great to look at even at night with the TÜV Rheinland Certification that reduces harmful blue light. However, we still suggest to minimize looking to the screen in the dark to protect your precious eyes.
There is a 12 MP single shooter on the back. Some may argue that a dual camera setup would have been better. It is right especially, if you are a fan of wide angle views. But other than this, the single camera should perform very well with its Sony IMX486 sensor, portrait mode, f/2.2 aperture etc. The 5 MP front camera is quite decent for everyday casual shots and video calling.
When it comes to Xiaomi phone, it is usually all about the performance at the first place. We have got a 12 nm Snapdragon 439 chipset with 2 GB RAM which is excellent for everyday multitasking and overall smooth experience. Adreno 505 GPU and up to 2 GHz octa-core CPU is backing it up. It is PUBG friendly in low settings. However, higher graphics settings may cause some lags because of the 2 GB RAM. Redmi 7 with 3 GB RAM is the lowest priced Xiaomi phone in current market for smooth PUBG experience. 4000 mAh big battery with 10W Fast charging is indeed a huge advantage of this phone.
The gadget comes with 32 GB internal storage. It has dual SIM and dedicated MicroSD slots. A significant drawback is that there is no fingerprint sensor. A waterdrop notch design, a fingerprint sensor and probably a dual back camera too could be more fitting for this device. However, Redmi 7A is still offering highly competitive features at an attractive and affordable price considering the current market standard. We hope that the price will go down in near future.
