Walton Primo R5+ Full Specifications
Walton Primo R5+ is released for those who can’t afford phones like Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, Oppo A3s (3GB) or Samsung Galaxy J6 because of a higher budget. Close competitors of Walton Primo R5+ would be Xiaomi Redmi 6 and Lava R3 Note. Primo R5+ is coming with a 3000 mAh battery. It may let you go through a whole day if you are a normal user and power users may get about 6 hours of battery with intensive use. There is no fast charging technology. But you won’t get a much better battery than this one in this price range. So, it is a fair deal but nothing to be impressed about. Multitasking and gaming will be quite average and you will experience some lags even with 3 GB RAM because of a less stronger quad-core CPU and MT6739 chipset from MediaTek. Both Lava R3 Note and Xiaomi Redmi 6 will provide you better performance with superior octa-core CPU and MT6762 chipset. Also, we saw deficient software optimization and lags in previously released Primo R5 with same chipset and GPU. So, unfortunately, Primo R5+ is behind the contest regarding performance. HD+ IPS Full-View display with scratch-resistant glass and shiny polished back gives a good impression about the display and design. You will get overall good viewing quality, grip and light protection. But there is no notch design and the blank space at the bottom is flat and a bit too much. Still, it looks much better than Redmi 6, but Lava Note 3 is the champ concerning design with 6.22″ huge notch display and curvey bottom design. Walton low mid-range cameras provide satisfactory shots so far. This one is no different. Both front and back cameras are similar to Primo R5. You should get a good color contrast, brightness and focus. But there is no PDAF like Primo R5 (just autofocus) so, the focus will work slower. Shots will lack depth, details and sharpness but still a fine deal for the price. Primo R5+ is coming with OTG, fingerprint, face unlock, FM radio with recording, wireless display etc. features. Overall, the performance and battery are a little disappointing. Design, display and camera are ok. Lava R3 Note is the clear winner here for now.
